So today is Christmas Eve and did you think that I will not post something about it šŸ˜†! Well if you thought that you were wrongšŸ¤—. Nevertheless I am here with another place wherešŸŽ… Santa Claus lives. I think you already guessed itšŸ•. It's FinlandšŸ‡«šŸ‡®. Well! I am not going to write about Finland, but I will write what are the places inside Finland🐠. And one of them is named is LaplandšŸŽ.

The northernā†–ļø most part of Finland, Lapland, is the magical šŸ”®arctic region full of contrasts. In fact, contrasts are a keyšŸ— factor in the allurešŸ· of Lapland where 24-hour sunlight in the summerā˜€ļøā˜€ replaces the dark winter ā„days filled with Northern Lights.

What the country lacks in hours of natural sunlight during the winter, it makes up for with infinite photo opportunities both day and night. Aptly nicknamed the ā€˜Land of a Thousand Lakes’, Finland is home to almost 200,000 inland lagoons. Between November and May each year, the lush landscapes of Lapland are coated in snow, transforming the region into a picture-perfect.

Lapland is also described as the land of 8 seasons: ChristmasšŸŽ… (deep winter), Frosty Winterā„ (late winter), Crusty Snow šŸ·(spring), Departure of Ice🌻 ( early summer), Midnigt SunšŸŽ‘ (summer), Harvest SeasonšŸ (late summer), Colourful Autumn šŸ‚(autumn), First Snowā˜ƒļø (early winter).

In northern Lapland the lights shine about every other clear night between September ā™and March. In southernā†™ļø Finland they are visible on about 10-20 nights🌃 a year. Look to the stars. If you notice that the night sky is clear and starry⭐, your chances of seeing the northern lights šŸ’”are good.

The Northern Lights are visible on roughly 200 nightsšŸ¤ a year – or every other clear night – in Finnish Lapland. The more traditional ways to go Aurora spotting are snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or snowmobile and sledšŸ›· dog touring.

Here comes Christmas: šŸŽšŸŒ²šŸŽ…šŸŽ„šŸ¤¶

Finnish people believe that Santa Claus or Father Christmas lives in the north part of Finland called Korvatunturi (or Lapland), north of the Arctic Circle. People from all over the world send letters to Santa Claus in Finland. There is a big tourist theme park called 'Christmas Land' in the north of Finland, near to where they say that Father Christmas lives.

In Finland, Santa might also be known as Joulupukki! (This really means 'Christmas Goat' as it was traditional in Finland that there was a Yule Goat who was scary and asked people for presents - and certainly didn't give any out! Over time the goat šŸŽ became the gift giver 🧧and then Santa took over the gift giving duties but the name of the Christmas Goat was still retained in Finland!) Joulupukki ridesšŸŽ¢ with reindeer 🦌leaves giftsšŸ’ under the Christmas tree 🌳but if you have been naughty you could end up with a bag of coalšŸš‚!

Santa Claus Village is located about 8 kilometres (5Ā mi) northeast of Rovaniemi and about 2 kilometres (1.2Ā mi) from the Rovaniemi Airport.

Santa Claus VillagešŸ™…ā€ā™€ļø is an amusement park in Rovaniemi in the Lapland region of Finland. It was opened in 1985.šŸ“œ

Santa Claus OfficešŸ¤: A Santa Claus's Office is located inside the main building of the Village, for visitors to take photographs and chat with Santa Claus. However, there is an "office hour" for Santa Claus and he may not be in the office all the time even when the Village is open.

Santa's house of snowmobiles ā„: A museum about the history and evolution of snowmobiles in the Arctic areas.

Finland, Christmas Eve🌲 is the main event of the holidays,šŸ– and the night Santa🤶 comes with his presents. It is spent with the family, decorating the tree,šŸø drinking ā€œglƶgiā€ (mulled wine) and doing the quintessential Finnish thing, bathingšŸ› in a Christmas sauna.

In Lapland, Christmas is bigšŸ”“. ... Not only is Lapland home to Father šŸŽ…Christmas it is also home to countless reindeer. Reindeer herding in Lapland is big businessšŸ‘Øā€šŸ“‡. And all of these beautiful animals come with some incredible reindeer attractions that are just a perfect fit for families visiting Lapland Finland.

I hope you liked my blog as much as you like celebrating šŸ¾ Christmas šŸŽ„. I wish all of you guys a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year( I will come again on new yearšŸ˜‚).
